In February 2020, Brackeys the beloved game development YouTuber hosted his 3rd official game jam on itch.io: Brackeys 2020.1 Game Jam. In this game jam, developers had 1 week to complete a completely new game based on the jam’s theme. For Brackeys 2020.1 game jam, the theme was Holes.
This game jam had over 713 entries with 17.8 thousand ratings given to the submitted games. It’s an awe-inspiring scale for a game jam, and I can not feature all the games submitted. Instead, for this post, I will be showcasing the games that received the highest ratings in the game jam based on voting by the community. Fluffy Flight

Made for Brackeys Game Jam 2020.1. With the theme, I considered holes as the absence of things, so I decided to make a minimalist game set in the ultimate absence, the vacuum of space. Plus you get to blow holes in stuff. Any feedback is always appreciated. This game was made for Brackeys 2020 GameJam Theme- Holes. Available for Windows. Fluffy Flight is a creative platforming game where you need to guide a balloon through obstacles by poking holes into it to release air. This game has really simple controls, but can still be challenging because you will air acts as your fuel to move and your health bar. You have to manage your air wisely to make sure you get to the next checkpoint/air bubble.

Hole Punch

Hole Punch is an action-puzzle game where you must carve up the environment to defeat enemies. When dashing in Hole Punch you will destroy any walls or obstacles you dash through. This leads to fast-paced, physics-action gameplay that is very fun and addictive.

Hole And Box

Hole and Box is a challenging but interesting puzzle game whereas a hole in the ground you must pull boxes to designated spots to beat the level. The art style and game design really compliment this game. While being a simple puzzle game, it also has a lot of life and can be pretty difficult on later levels.

A downloadable game for Windows

Hello and welcome to GPTV's project page.

The project:

This game was created for Brackey's 2020.1 GameJam.

We're just two guys and it's our first time participating in a GameJam (aswell as finishing a game...), so it was an amazing journey, even though we started out a little late. The Jam's theme was: 'Holes'.

The game:

The game is all about helping photons in space to avoid black holes to ensure that future television, which is broadcasted with an array of photons (as everybody knows...), keeps being a thing.

The GPTV(Galactic Photon Television)-Company has invented an amazing technology:

The so called 'black hole device' can be used to create artificial black holes. Use their gravity wisely and pull your photons away from the 'bad guys'...

Upgrade your hole device and your batteries, you will need the extra power in order to avoid the bigger and therefore more influential holes.

We know it's not a whole lot here, but we would be happy to get some feedback on our work.
